Noel Tagoe, PhD, FCMA, CGMA

Former Executive Vice President, Research at CIMA

Noel Tagoe is a Professor of Accounting and Management Practice at the University of Nottingham Business School.  He is also the Chief Executive of Noel Tagoe & Company, a start-up firm that provides advisory, research and training services in Finance, Education, Strategy and Technology.

Until recently Prof Tagoe was the Executive Vice President, Research & Curricula at AICPA-CIMA. Working with partners across the world he developed competency frameworks to ensure the continuing employability of professionals through reskilling.

He has advised leading global companies such as Shell, Rolls Royce, GE, Aviva, HSBC, UBS, Unilever and Verizon on finance transformation, finance talent strategy, digital strategy and managing disruption.

Prof Tagoe held accounting and strategy positions at BP and Elf Aquitaine (now Total Oil), led the financial advisory services unit of KPMG Ghana and taught at leading business schools such as the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business (University College Dublin), Manchester Business School (University of Manchester) and Said Business School (University of Oxford).  He is a much sought-after conference speaker and executive trainer and has led training programmes in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North America.

Prof Tagoe was educated at the University of Ghana (undergraduate) and the Universities of Dundee and Oxford (postgraduate).  He is a fellow of CIMA.

Anthony Sarpong, Senior Partner, KPMG

Anthony has 23 years of Audit (financial statements, projects and special), Accounting  Advisory, and Corporate recovery and Insolvency experience having worked in Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa.

Prior to his role as Senior Partner, he was a Partner and Head of Audit at KPMG in Ghana. He doubled as the sector lead for the Financial Services line of business and Head of Risk Management in the Ghana Practice. His experience encompasses Financial service and Consumer Markets lines of business. He has led some of the firm’s largest and complex cross-functional engagements.

Anthony is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants - Ghana (ICAG), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors (GARIA). He has served as a member of ICA-GH’s Standard and Ethics Committee since 2016. Prior to that, he was a member of  the ICA- GH’s Technical Committee.

Additionally, he is a member of the University of Ghana  Business School (UGBS)’s Advisory Board, as well as the Resource Person  for the Executive in Residence Programme - Department of  Accounting, UGBS, for 2015/16 and 2016/17 academic years.

Anthony holds an MSc. in Financial Risk Management from London Metropolitan University, UK; Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Manchester, UK; and a First Class Honours in Business Administration (Accounting option) from the University of Ghana.

Hilde Famaey, Co-Founder & CFO, Kenyio

Hilde has been active as CFO in Africa for the past 20 years. Her career has taken her fromBelgium to Burundi, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Ghana and Algeria. She has worked for Shell in Belgium and was part of the team starting up Promasidor Ghana Ltd., better known through its brand names Cowbell and Onga.

She has a vast experience in implementing and integrating ERP systems and played an active role in a major due diligence process.

She is now a co-founder of Kenyio Ltd., a startup in Ghana. Hilde has a Master of BusinessAdministration degree from the University of Brussels.


Nii Armah Addy 

Nii Armahis a Chartered Management Consultant (CMC), Chartered Professional Administrator (ChPA) and an Educationist. He is the Founder of the Institute of Leadership and Management in Education (InLaME) and the Institute of Professional Event Management (IPEM). Both InLaME and IPEM are Management Consultancy Firms with a unique management consultancy practice tailored to improve their clients’ capability and profitability.

Nii Armah has over 20 years of industrial experience with a portfolio of high level engagements in public and private sector works. He holds BA (Hons.), two Masters' Degrees, LLB and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (PGDLP). He has had a stint with the International Criminal Court, Rwanda as a legal intern.

Nii Armah was a lecturer at the Academic City College (formerly Sikkim Manipal University, Ghana) from 2009 to 2018, where he also served as a member of the Governing Council, Academic Board, Research Committee, and Head of Training, Placement and Alumni. He has facilitated numerous corporate training programmes.  

Nii Armah is published in academic journals and has presented conference papers. He is a co-author in “Leadership Framework for Project Management” (2016) a book published by Lambert Academic Publishing, Germany. He has also authored four (4) other books. His latest book “The crucifixion of LI 1296: Of professional legal education in Ghana and more” (2018) brings clarity to the professional legal education, law practice and management in Ghana.

Nii Armah writes a weekly column on “Education & Management” in Ghana’s leading Business newspaper the “Business & Financial Times.” He has over 200 articles and counting. It will interest you to know that some of his articles are used as resource materials in Universities around the world particularly of note is the University of California.

Mr. Philemon Hini,Cyber Analyst, e-Crime Bureau

Mr Hini has been involved in high profile cyber investigations and intelligence as well as capacity building programmes for law enforcement and national security establishments. Nii Narku Quaynor,

Director, Ghana Blockchain Academy

Nii Quaynor graduated from Dartmouth College in 1972 with B.A (Engineering Science) and received a Ph.D (Computer Science) in distributed systems in 1977 from S.U.N.Y at Stony Brook.

Nii worked with DEC, U.S.A from 1977 till 1992 and returned to Ghana to establish the first ISP operated by Network Computer Systems in 1993.  Nii had earlier in 1977 established the Computer Science department at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.  

Nii is the Convener of AfNOG, a network technology transfer institution since 2000 and founding Chairman of AFRINIC, the African numbers registry  Nii taught microprocessors with International Center for Theoretical Physics in several developing countries.  

Nii served on several Boards including ICANN,  UN ICT Task Force,  IGF-MAG, NITA-Ghana.  He is a member of  GhiPPS and NIA Boards, Patron – ISOC Ghana Chapter, Chairman, ICANN Strategy Panel, Public Responsibility.  

Nii remains the Chairman of GDC and a Professor of Computer Science at University of Cape-Coast, Ghana.

Nii received the Internet Society’s prestigious Jonathan  Postel Service Award for pioneering work to advance Internet in Africa,  December 2007. He was also inducted into the Internet Hall of Fame in August 2013 for his pioneering role in the development of the Internet in Africa.
